Were often asked what a family friendly server is. How can an ultra-violent game like Half-Life Deathmatch be played on a family friendly server? There are hundreds of HLDM servers. Some have no rules where anything goes. This means players can swear and cuss, insult each other, put each other down and bully other players. We dont allow that sort of behavior on the AFB servers. We also do not allow racist, sexist or ageist remarks on our servers. You can kill as many game characters as you can, but you must treat the humans behind the characters with respect. Weve found that this makes the gaming experience more pleasurable and leads to some lasting friendships as well.
Although HLDM and Counter-Strike are rated M for Mature, our servers are regularly visited by kids. We want the kids to have a fun time without being subjected to obnoxious behavior. Weve also seen some of the same kids return to our servers time and time again because they know theyll be safe with us. They may be bullied on other servers or in school, but on an AFB server, they know that, more often than not, theyll be protected from bad behavior. Kids also learn that they can have some good clean fun without putting anyone else down.

 I was looking for a fast pace game for my son and I too play. All of my online games have been rtcw that's it. I download steam and then bought the game for $29.99 haven't been able to do anything else.
The people on this server have made me feel at home and to tell you the truth I only play on this server. I sould look at some other's but why? This server's skill and rules are the best for my son and me.
So that's all I have to say.

 It all started when I was 16 years old, cruising around from game to game looking for the next thrill. I have been playing here a little lately and i am curious as to why people get banned for things like bunny hopping and using the toggle zoom?

We are trying to make this server a fun place to play for all skill levels. If a new person comes in (we get tons of them) and they're trying learn the basics, they'll get frustrated and just quit when they get womped on at a 40:1 kill ratio by someone who is bhopping circles around them, repeatedly sniping them in their spawn point from afar, spawn camping, attacking them while they spawn, or when they come out of spawn, etc. It just helps us retain more of the newer folks and casual players who won't be able to learn these techniques in short play sessions.
Some of the lighter techniques like grenade cooking, power combine balls, wall sliding, etc., are ok because they don't necessarily give a womp-ur-bottox advantage like Bhopping, strafe jumping, toggle_zoom, etc., and are lower-end techniques that can be learned a little easier

 Once upon a time, a wee little lad went over to a certain electronics store that doesn't buy advertising on this site and bought this spectacular little package on sale known as "Orange Box".
